Before I start calling the usual suspects, does anyone have a TR3 Spare Wheel Lid Assembly, (Spare Tire Cover), Part # 900483, for a pre-60K car? It would need to be in excellent shape. I see TRF actually sells them, but just thought I'd ask here first, before I go that route....

They certainly come up on eBay often, but given how vulnerable that end of the car is I would want to see a photo of both the back and the front of the lid to see if it has been pounded out & bondoed back into shpae at some time.

At the price TRF and Moss have for the lid, I'd be tempted to go the ebay route as they seem to sell at a fraction of the new price. I think at least 2 were on there recently. But as Geo notes there is a definite risk/reward tradeoff involved.

I would certainly check out the ebay route. I see them on a regular basis. With ebay you pays your money and takes your chances. Do your due diligence and check the feedback record on any seller. I have had some reaonably good experience with ebay.
