TR2/3/3A TR3 Body Mounting

I'm at the point of mounting the body on the frame. I've got the body mtg. kit from TRF. Seems complete enough. Looking in the orignal service manual, they say to use FOUR pads on each outrigger. The kit has 16 pads, so that makes sense. However, when I put four pads on each outrigger, the body just seems too high at those points. The floor boards do not lay down on the rubber pieces on the frame and the back is about a half an inch up off the frame. I don't remember taking off so many pieces on the outriggers. Should I start with less (say two) and see how things line up??

I saw the same thing on mine. Before we decided to do a frame off, I replaced mounts in several spots where old ones were removed.

I managed to get (from the top) 1 thick rubber, 1 aluminum, and 1 thin rubber on each of the ones I replaced... that got it to sit "right". It's 5/8th, I'd say.

Not sure why they say to use four. The bolts that I bought for the purpose of mounting it were too short to use four.

I suspect that the original design intened us to use thin rubber, in which case, 4 would be about correct.
