i've decided to install a battery disconnect the same as I've seen here a number of times. You know the one with the green screw knob. But when going to put it on I realized that It was made to go on the negative post and my car is + ground. Has anyone tackled this one the disconnect is obviously smaller than the post.

Terry I may give you a call. Here is a pic of the cutoff that I have. I want to know if anyone has made it fit the pos. post as it is too small.

Cool I'll come by when I can get a chance, you home today?

Seems you may be able to spread the opening a tad and perhaps use a longer bolt. That is what I had to do with the braided ground cable I found at Pep Boys.

OTOH, I never clamp my ground cable tightly to the post... I leave it so it can be removed (in a hurry on occasion) with just a twist and lift. Still makes good enough contact (i.e. have never had a problem with charging, starting, etc).

Aloha Geo,

It seems like you have installed a disconnect switch, without any additional parts.

Happy Thanksgiving!
