I am considering the conversion and would like any recommendations for the easiest, most foolproof kit on the market. Thanks, Tim

Tim,I havent ran my motor yet ,but my conversion is done and was pretty easy.
I used the Moss fan eliminator kit with thin belt.Didnt neeed to change 40A Kubota($69 ebay)alternator pulley. Some small mod to pedastal mount and it fit right in using stock adjsument arm.I had to cut away Rt. hand drive streering box mount. About $310 for everything, including new belt.

Hey, I just discovered that Triumph Rescue has a complete kit with alternator, pulley, belt, all hardware for $175....I think this may the the way to go. Looks pretty easy.

Hi Red,

I got an alternator conversion kit and modified control box from Art Lipp. I haven't installed it yet but the instructions that were sent along with it look very straight forward. Looks like the only modification that needs to be done it a flattening of the old generator slide bracket and a little grinding of this bracket for clearance. He provides a template to do that as well.

AS an FYI, I am still using the wide belt and the new alternator has a pulley that works with this.

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd
