Frank - I think you will have to bleed the brakes again (and maybe another time again) till all the bubbles are drained (squirted) out.
I didn't have any brake problems for several years with silicone fluid in my 1958 TR3A, then in 2001, I drove my TR from Montreal to Colorado (5225 miles round trip) for VTR. Breconridge is at about 11,000 foot altitude and Estes Pass is 12095 feet up. After a few days, my brakes went soft and every time I wanted to stop, I had to pump once before I got any pressure build-up. A few days later, I was pumping the pedal three times. So a friend, Bob Palmer from Cleveland helped me bleed the brake lines. Really he did it for me and I watched and helped. The bleed valves were spitting bubbles and bubbles. But I had previously no issues at sea level.
I can only assume that any trapped air at sea level coallassed in to real air bubbles at this altitude. After this, the brakes worked fine and, once again down at sea level, I have never had to bleed the brakes again in seven years. I can only suppose that we got all the air out the brake system in 2001 in the Rockies.
