Hello all: Planning on replacing the exhaust on my 250 this summer. On my first 250 I had in the 70's I had replaced the exh. manifold with a twin TR6 & used the ANSNA full dual four tailpipe setup. Probably one of the best sounding set ups I have ever heard. I still remember the tour I took with the LITA and on the way home ran through a mile long underpass in traffic. I loved it, had to hold it in 2nd for the whole way. What a sound!

Anyway I see Ansa no longer makes systems for TR's. What is your all recomendations for a nice performance system, single or dual pipe?

My 73 TR6 has a stock split manifold which affords me the opportunity to run a dual system. I chose the Falcon stainless exhausts. They have each a single muffler under the back with a chrome straight tip tilted up out the back. The sound was good but not good enough. I contacted Stainless Specialties (on the web) out of Florida to cutom build me a pair of oval 2.5x6" tips about 12" long, with beveled opening and had a good welder cut off the tip and welded these monsters on. Sound is really baroque, not as offensive as the Monzas but gives the pure essense of a big Triumph's engine. The tips can be viewed at the British Motoring Club of New Orleans' annual car show site last weekend. That would be <bmcno.org> and under random photos.

Oh, and pardon the pitted bumper. Gotta get it replated! I did win first place in TR6's. Kinda proud.
