TR250 clutch fork "pins"

Has anyone changed the clutch fork pins? Not the tapered pin on the shaft, the 2 pins on the fork that mate up with the release bearing carrier? Do they just press out? Mine are pretty flat on the one side and i would like to change them......

Those pins are available separately. Another "trick" is to rotate the pins 90 degrees so the new round surfaces engage the groove in the throw-out bearing guide.

If you plan to change the pins, they can be drilled out. The new pins need to be inserted and then hammered from the back to flare out the head - something like an external rivet head. As for MIG welding the pins to secure them, it might be difficult to weld the new steel pins to the cast iron yoke.

Thanks Don. I allready bought new pins so may as well change them out, but i see what you mean by rotating them to a new "unworn" area.
