TR5/TR250 TR250/6 engine mount

I am in the process of putting the motor back in my TR250, the engine mounts, the all metal part that bolt to the block, they look as they either one could go on either side and work, but they are not symmetrically braced on the inside and have a couple small holes (like 1/8" or so) do those little holes go towards the back or the front, also does the rubber mount bolt in front of or behind the attachment point to the car, thanks in advance, Greg
 
Thanks, that helps, may have been worried about it too much all made sense and worked out fine as I installed it. The motor is in!
