Hadda do it... The '54 TR2 project has gotta go to a new home. made the official post in the classifieds.
No time, no money, need the space, gotta catch up on some bills. all the lame-o excuses.. The 'rumphies had a heads up in the Triumph forum, but I thought I'd shamlessly plug it in the pub once for everybody else. I know someone out there is dying to restore a TR2!

Sad to hear it, but completely understandable. Good luck with the sale.

It is sad to hear, sure hope the TR2 finds a good home... And to think you could have had this...

So, any plans to dip back into the classic car scene again?

That's almost exactly what I had visioned. Oh well... right now I'm more in survival mode. economy stinks, so does my paycheck. maybe someday I'll be back into a resto project.
I've found I enjoy the friendships I've made far more than the cars anyway.
Once I get my garage cleared out, I'm settin up to do some woodwork to make some side money. I'm gonna be making some candle lanterns and maybe some camp chairs for the living history folks. good market there. here's hoping!

not any loose tranny parts. but if you buy the whole mess, you can take all the parts out of the tranny you want! then sell off the rest! hahahaha. If I wind up with a leftover tranny I'll be sure to let you know.

I hear you Ben, the economy stinks for me too right now, but I'm managing to survive... Things will get better!

And I have found that true blue car folks don't care that much about what you do or don't own, they're just good folks anyway...

Ben;
There are a bunch of people here in Canada who might be interested in your car.
I'll do my best to sell it for you.
Are you still going to be active here?
I'm sure others would miss you as much as I would!

Dave :driving:

Ben,

Please try to stay active with us here. It would be an even bigger loss if you were to fade away simply because the car will be gone. Cars are just cars, it's people that matter.

I don't know - the owner sounds kind of shady to me.
If anyone's interested,I can stop by & check it out while
I'm in the area tomorrow.
"Would you buy a used car from this man?".
We're heading over Ben's way tomorrow morning, going thru
Bennington,VT (home of Hemmings).

Doug, sorry I missed your attempts to call, we were out all afternoon visiting my brother. Hope you try again, I'm in for the evening now.... I don't think I'll be able to be both at work and show you the car as I have a 25 minute commute and I only get an hour lunch... unless you're in the area in the evening.
Dave, I'd appreciate any leads you may come up with. Thanks.
Paul, I don't intend to walk away from this group just because I don't have a car. All you guys are great, with or without cars. I've met some really awesome folks through being on this site. I think I'll hang around and continue being a pest! hehehehehe
