TR2 manifold question

Hi All. I’ve been restoring a TR2 for some time now. Learning as I go. I have both manifolds restored and ready to install. I started to look at the box full of bits that the previous owner had used to fix the manifolds to the head. Turns out he’d used UNC bolts as opposed to the original stud / nut arrangement. Am I missing some local TR knowledge? Are bolts an easier option? Or was it a lazy option by the previous owner?
Any help would be great appreciated.
cheers.

Neil.

I would get a set of studs fitted makes fitting the manifolds a lot easier( if you look on Rimmer Bros web site they give all the different lengths you need) The studs are unc into the head and unf for nuts
