TR2/3/3A TR2 Bonnet question

When Triumph switched from the early cable release bonnet to the Dzus fasteners, did they use up some old stock of bonnets?
The reason I ask is that my car is a '55 with Dzus fasteners, but the bonnet also has the two mounts on the front for the cable release catches/hood poppers.
The mounts I'm talking about are in this picture from the spart parts catalogue where parts 10 through 18 mount.
Thanks in advance,
Robby

I have done a 55 Tr2 (some years back). It was a later car and did NOT have these brackets.
I would offer to say that the Factory would have never hesitated to use any part, on any
car, that was going across the pond. They never threw any parts away. Just our way!

I am not sure when they stopped the cable pulling hood. My car is a 1955 and there is no trace of the cable. There were 2 guys with a 1954 long doors on the forum, but I have not seen them around for a while.
