Anyone on the forum running a Pertronix kit on a Tr2-4 that has been converted to NEGATIVE ground? If so would you mind uploading a pic showing the wiring from distro to coil?

I'm thinking an incorrect setup is what's causing the irregular wear on my rotor...

Cheers,
Gavin

Hi Gavin- black wire to - side of coil
red wire to + side of coil
12 volts to + side of coil
I think that the irregular wear on my rotor and cap terminal, was caused by a slightly out of phase reluctor and pick up.
I doubt that you wired anything incorrectly-
Emmett

Thanks Emmett, I appreciate it. Did you convert to negative ground too?

Here is a photo of my set up. Red wire to the positive side of the coil. Sorry, I'm not too savy with loading photos. This was the best I could get uploaded. If you want, you can email me at pleidigh@hotmail.com and I will send you this photo via email.

Thanks Phil, I just emailed you to get a bigger version of the photo.

I looked at the car last night and it seems like it is wired fine, which means that either the pertronix isn't functioning correctly or the advance is very retarded (which I know is not). I've got an email into pertronix asking them to look at the photos of my cap & rotor for their take on it. I'll let you know more when i hear from them.

Cheers,
gavin

Sorry Gavin, I did not receive you email. My wife had the filters set to exclusive. I fixed that so I can now receive again.
