TR2/3/3A TR2/3/3A/3B Side Curtains

Hello all,

I listed on ebay a set of Dzus mount side curtains for the later TR3A on. I put in the ad that the curtains would fit any TR3 as long as the wedge mounts on the doors were switched to the Dzus style. Aside from the early short door TR2's, is this correct? I went by memory when I wrote the ad, and now am second-guessing myself. The set is a restorable dzus style in poor condition, but with excellent frames. I just wanted to be sure before I leave the ad as-is and then learn later I may have misrepresented the item. Thanks for any help on the subject in advance.

Should work.
At least you aren't selling disc brake rotors for TR2s !

Randall,

LOL! I always love to say I have owned the first production car ever fitted with disc brakes. (Of course, mine were the later Girlings, but I don't mention that part unless I have to....) Thanks for the confirmation, I didn't remember any differences that were major other than Short Door TR2's, but it has been a while.

Best Regards,
Brian

Huh ? The TR3-4 discs were always Girling, only the front drum cars had Lockheed brakes.

Or do you just mean you have the later TR4 brakes with lighter calipers and smaller rotors ?

Anyway, I was referring to an eBay seller who advertised the rotors he was selling would fit all TR2-4A and swore they would fit my (mythical) long-door TR2. Never did figure out what he actually had, or why he didn't think they'd fit TR5-8 as well /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

The door rails for the Dzus style sidescreens have a routing for the sidescreen brackets and a hole bored into the rail to provide clearance for the Dzus button.

So the later Dzus brackets will not fit the early doors withour some modification to the wood door rails.

Later TR3 disc brakes will bolt onto the TR2 uprights without any mods...
