So Ive had this car for a while in storage and Ive finally cracked it out and trying to figure out exactly what it is.
It is (or supposed to be) a TR-2 and im wanting to put it on the track. The motor is currently apart and needing to know what all i need to do to get the engine track ready along with what Horsepower I can feasibly get out of her.

It has a Judson Supercharger unit on it but I think that putting some Webers would be more reliable or should i run the Judson?
The Judson is really cool...

Ill get some pictures of what I have.
The motor currently has an 86mm bore, flat top pistons, hi-port head with 1.5'' intake ports, 3 springs/ Valve. I have not measured the Valve sizes yet, or checked to see if the head has been shaved.

The chassis is solid axle rear, but im not sure how to tell which chassis it is.

Ill post some pictures soon.

I posted this in racing and here, Since im new and not really sure best place to get answers...

Can't wait to see some pictures of it. Yeah, the Judson Superchargers are cool looking and period correct but they have some weaknesses internally....if/when it comes apart it can destroy the engine. They are also quite noisy!

Cheers

I would go with the Moss Motors supercharger Looks great and 6lbs of boost. 0 to 60 in holy @#$%!!!
Lots of fun. You need to make sure the bottom end is in good shape thou. You can break a crankshaft. Trust me I know.

Im seeing what all is wrong with it now. When I got the car it had a blown headgasket (with fresh hone marks) also has a broken head stud. But im trying to figure out what all I need to do with the motor to build it to hold together to do some vintage racing. I run at VIR and currently have my track rat which is a Porsche 944, but I think shes about done racing. So ill build this TR and really have some fun. Anyone running the twin Weber setup Moss sells?

I was running DCOE 42 8's on my ex Vintage Race Car for a little while. Loved the sound of them...could hear them as much as the exhaust. Really love the look of them as well...

Here is a short video of them...
