Took a couple of pictures after a nice test drive this morning. I just finished the work so I can drive again.

I also checked revs on the highway: 5th gear 70mph=2700rpm, 60mph=2300rpm for anyone considering the HVDA conversion.

So far all the suspension work seems fine. There is a slight bind at center position of the wheel so I may opt for the steering box cover replacement from BFE to smooth that out.

I will post much smaller suspension pictures soon.

Warning, this is a 370K image so you'll need broadband.

And Paul, these headlights have the 3M protective film on them.

VERY NICE !!!!! I'm sure you have been asked before, is there any significance to your TR AAA plate?

Looking great, Peter. I hope it is going as well as it looks.

So the snow finally melted up there?

Looks great Peter!

Very nice job Peter..

Your help is greatly appreciated on my car.

Great looking ride, Peter. The tires fill the wheel wells nicely. Are they 6" wide wheels and do you have interference problems? They look awfully nice.

Nice indeed. I see your front badge has the black bar (rather than the more common blue). I think these 3-color badges were only used for a very short time. Is your commission number somewhere around 46000?

Peter - that is *really* a beautiful car. Bravo.

Tom

Thanks for all the nice comments. We are really proud of the car. I can take credit for the the mechanicals and interior, and details. But the body is pretty much as we got it except for a machine polishing and claybar which I did last year. The paint is a great 10 footer but in due time I will go after that too. It has a nice patina and I'm not afraid to drive it around.

Bill, the wheels are KN minator 15x5.5 with Yokohama AVS Decibel 205/60s. I had to put a 3mm (1/8") spacer in the rear to keep from rubbing on the leaf springs. But only when I really hang the rear out around corners and just barely polished the inside of the tire on the spring bands. The front fits fine without interference unless I dive into a corner at full lock (which I don't). The Addco bar I just added made a big change and eliminated body roll. The Konis also keep things firmly planted. I'm still shaking out the new suspension so I have to be good, for now at least.

Keen eye Geo. Actually mine is TS29694 and should have a black/red badge with no Triumph at the bottom. It came with this badge and I haven't found a nice original red/black to replace it.

Again, thanks to eveyone for the comments. It really makes it seem MORE worthwhile when others appreciate your labors.

Yeah.... Those Minators ROCK!!! Love the way she sits... Real aggressive looking. That is EXACTLY how I envision my TR3 when I "get er done". SO jealous.... I'll get there one day.... or year!
