Wedge TR 8's popping up in California

I was talking with a fellow this morning at a garage, before picking up the new windshield for my wedge, and he mentioned how one of his friends sold his TR8 coupe for only $1500 2 years ago, because he couldnt find a buyer for more than that because everyone wanted the standard transmission and convertible, and his was a coupe and borgwarner automatic transmission.

It made me sad that it wasnt still for sale because i'd have bought it in an instant =D

If it was a factory V8 Coupe with an automatic transmission it was more than likely a pre-production car. If it was driveable it should have sold for more, even two years ago. He must not have advertised it beyond his local papers etc. Todd's not far from you and he probably would have snapped it up. Or maybe he did...?
