TR6 TR 6 Manifold question

We press on with the restoration of the 72 TR6.
As we look at the exhaust manifold on the 72 we notice that
it is different from the 71 / prior years. What are the
pro / cons in changing our 72 to the 71 & prior style manifold
with the single tube?
With all the TR6 experts out there...hope for some help.
Thanks, Gil

I'm not sure what year the "twin pipe" manifold came out, but if that is on a 72, I agree with Roman.

I'm pretty sure they have to match the head, and that they don't swap.

The exhaust manifolds are interchangeable, the exhaust port spacing never changed. The dual outlet manifold does flow better though.

The intake manifolds are a different story, the port spacing changed for the 1972-on cars and the intake manifolds, while they will fit from early head to late head style, have obstructed flow when they are mismatched between early and late.
