Anyone change a TR-4A trunk seal lately? I just tried one I think I bought at VB and there's no way the trunk will close with this seal. It's too high and too hard. Any suggestions?

I just did mine about two months ago. At first I could barely close the trunk. For the first days I just closed it without latching it. Now it closes without a problem. I think it needs to compress the rubber.

Try dusting the seals with Baby Powder (talcum). It will soften the rubber over time and not damage it.
