I will be buying tires soon for my TR4. A quick search on the web doesn't come up with anything. Any clues? I am in the San Diego area. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Depends on you wheel size and the tire size you desire. If you want stock (165x15) then you're looking at Michelin (Coker Tires @ $182 ea. + shipping), Vredestein ($80-85 ea + shipping, Coker and British Wire Wheel) or Kumho (165/80x15, $30 ea. + shipping, Tire Rack). I chose the Kumhos and like them. Part of the decision making was influenced that our tires will "time out" (six years) before we wear them out.

Eyesie,

Just put the kumho's from Tire Rack on wire wheels. They seem to do well. Like Bob says, "they will probably time out" before I wear them out and leaves me money to spend on other projects. Will buy some for TR3 project.

I read negative reviews somewhere on the Nanking tires - no personal experience to speak of though. I'm going with Kumho's probably next, but they will be 195-65-15's on 5.5" KN alloys - too wide for stock rims I think.
