if only it were nearby. I paid not much less than that for one in a LOT worse condition. It didn't completely break in half pulling it on the trailer.

Sigh. Those wheels are Silverstones. But too far (except I DO have a trailer now..Nope can't do it).

Im pretty sure this car has made the rounds on ebay and CL a few times before. Havent seen it myself, but Im sure there's a reason it keeps popping up.

Just talked to the owner, he seems legit. Car has a TR250 or TR6 engine in it. Won't sell wheels, its all or nothing. I asked for pictures. Now to find best price to ship.

Would like to know the story of having a TR250/6 engine in it. Is it really a TR4 frame under the body?

Scott

I got pictures a few minutes ago. Its an early TR4 with a 6 cyl motor. I'm not sure if it is a TR250 engine. Have to get numbers to be sure. There are yellow and black striped rad hoses. A decent looking swap job. Probably will buy it. Body is pretty solid.

Marv-

First, that great deal on the TR3, and now this one. I'm green with envy!

I wonder if BobbyD is looking for a winter project???

Working on getting a shipper this morning. Quite a range in prices to get it here. Waiting on a shipper I used earlier this year to call me back. If I can deal direct instead of using Broker I can save a couple hundred bucks in cost.

Well, I got a good transport cost for the car so I call the owner up and tell him I want the car, how do I pay you. He said there's fellow headed over right now to look at the car. He promised him he would hold the car until he gets there. He will call me back after the guy leaves. Needless to say, the guy buys it. Can't fault anyone but myself about not telling the guy last night I would take the car.It was not meant to be. Owner said the guy had a shop in CT and worked on these cars. Hope it was BCFer.

Let us hope a good chunk of it goes into the car!

BTW - hope things are good Marv. Nice season to be driving where you are.

Sure would have liked to have another set of silverstones. Yep nice time to drive LBC here.

TR3aguy, early TR3, in a building in MS since 1987. Has the wire wheels hubs instead of adapters and the one piece master cylinder (like MGA). I thought it was a TR2 at first. Paint was stripped off, it looked like h--l. Dusted it off, hooked a gas bottle to it, cleaned the points and it cranked right up. Originally beige color with red interior.

Trying to figure which project to start for the winter. I've been promising myself to paint my TR6 driver for the last two years, but there is the TR3 and TR250 staring at me as well.
