TR2/3/3A TR-3B Fuel Pump

I am looking for a new fuel pump for my TR-3B. The one on the car works fine, but I am getting fuel seepage from the fuel line going to the pump and can't tighten the nut attaching the line to the pump any further.

I would appreciate your recommendation on where to buy a new pump.

Hi paul,

You might be able to fix your fuel seepage by adding a half of a compression fitting to the existing one on the fuel line going into the pump.

Tush's idea worked for me. With emory cloth I filed down two of the olives so each was bigger than half and used both.
 
I have been wrenching British cars for over 50 years and it was a problem back then. I wonder why no one ever thought to commission a run of oversize compression fittings. Probably could have to used up at least 100,000 since then.
 
I got lucky and put a small BUNA O-ring from a Harbor Freight assortment between the fuel pump and the gas line inlet. It cured a long time slow leak; haven't had a seepage there in two years plus.

Don't know the size of the O-ring, got luck in the first try, and haven't touched it since.
 
Yep, trying to throw the baby out with the bath water. It's the line compression fitting, not the pump!
