TR2/3/3A tr-3a windshield

I have a spare, original equipment 1959 TR3a windshield with original 1959 glass, and using a Mitutoyo micrometer, I got .256" on one end and .259" on the other end. So, it looks like it is pretty close to just a hair over 1/4" thick. Hope that helps

Aloha Miles,

I have a windscreen from Moss Motors, yet to be installed. I just measured thhe thickness in several places. All measured at .25".

The best modern compromise on fitting the glass into the frame,IMHO is to use small swatches of the gasket material around the perimeter of the glass.once the frame is all together (and you did'nt break the glass)Take a tube of fast setting ureathane windshield adhesive and pump the frame full.It will a terrible looking mess initially, but dont worry, when dry, it will clean up with a razor blade in a couple of minutes and never leak a drop.I also comes in handy if you are stuck with one of the ill fitting tr3 screens on the market that is cut wrong in the corners.
