TR2/3/3A TR-3A Windshield Seal - Top

1959 TR-3A - replacing top seal on windshield - the seal has a clearly rounded edge and a somewhat flatten edge - which edge goes forward - Midnight

Here is how mine looks since I finished the restoration of my 1958 TR3A in 1990. I bought this car brand new in 1958 and re-did the seal as well as everything else as it was originally. The end is squeezed down between the stanchion and the frame about an inch and the roll is cut to be flat on an angle as shown at the top of the stanchion. This is required to keep the ends from flying out like "ears" - or wings on a bird.
