The restoration of "Gray Lady", TS58476LO is really accelerating and I will very soon need new exterior lighting, including headlamps (everything including buckets, hardware, chrome trim rings, etc), front turn signal/markers, rear tail lights, and a license plate lamp.

Any suggestions on the best source of original or reproduction units would be appreciated.

BTW, I may be traveling to Stoneleigh next month. Can anyone comment on what I might expect to find there?

Regards, Frank

I just bought all of that stuff from Moss. Came in last week. I didn't check around for the best prices however. I just needed the stuff because I'm now in the process of installing Dan Master's wiring harness.

The small front and rear lamp assemblies were about $30 each. The license plate assembly is about $70. And the complete headlight bucket assemblies are about $130 each. The rear tailight assemblies I bought awhile back when Moss had them on sale. I don't remember what I paid for them. All of these assemblies come with everything including bulbs, rubber pcs., etc. There was no hardware if your calling hardware the screws to mount the assemblies. But that's common stuff.

I'd imagine all of the big three are within a few dollars of each other. BTW, Moss had everything in stock.

Frank - What's wrong with the buckets for your headlights ? If they didn't get lost during your restoration, then get them sprayed and use them for another 50 years. I had all the chrome bits for the headlights re-chromed.

BTW, the best lighting in the illumination that is produced by the sun. It's been around a long time (very original for a TR) and if you only drive your Gray Lady on sunny days, you won't even need headlights.

Frank-

I didn't see this thread when I responded to your earlier note. My opinion, if you are going to Stoneleigh, wait until then - I bought my 594s at Stoneleigh and am extremely happy with them.

To whet your appetite for the trip, here's a link to my pics of last years buying frenzy:

Randy, that red Dolomite Roadster is gorgeous! (Sorry to hijack this thread, but I agree that you might do much better on the lamps at such a venue.)
