Does anyone know the sizes of the 2 original box/tube spanners that came in the TR-3 tool kit? Also, does anyone have any that they would like to sell? Thanks.

I have access to those spanners... Let me see if I can get them measured today sometime.

Believe one was a spark plug spanner 13/16? and the other a 1/2 x 9/16 AF spanner according to Piggott

That's what I found out too. But those little buggers are hard to find.

edit: Original wrenches to complete a tool kit are hard to find. They will probably never get used but I am missing these items from my tool kit.

??? TRF has them both on sale.

Speaking of Triumph tools for the TR3...any input on the tool roll its self? IS anyone out there making a roll that is really close to original? Thx Gil NoCal

My original roll was dried and hardened so I purchased the roll from Moss. As far as I could tell it matched the original in size, number of pockets, and constuction.

I thought TRF had a pretty original one, at least for the later 3As. Not a very elegant thing but I guess that's what they used.

Art,
What I had found as I collected my set was the tube or Box Spanners were 1/2 x 9/16 AF and 13/16 spark plug. The former was 7 inches and latter 6 inches. There was a fellow who sold these two with tommy bar on the web ....however the link to his website no longer exists. britishtool.com was the site, hopefully he is just upgrading because I could use a few things.

He also sold tool rolls as well. Vinyl for TR3A and 3B and vinyl with jute coating for TR2 and 3.

Al,

Thank you very much for taking the time to look at your tool kit and for the web site reference.
