Stanpart part number 107633 plate S page 163 in the Stanpart catalog. Mine is showing serious signs of wear. Has any one out there fabbed a replacement? If so what did you use and are there any little tricks you can pass on.
MOSS shows it as non-obtanium. Haven't called TRF. Looks like a .125 mild steel rod.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tinkerman:
I have not tried to fab this rod although I think it could easily be re produced using an Oxy accetylene welding rod of the correct {or near correct diameter} along with a bit of heat to make the sharp bends required.
I just happen to have an extra, good used tr2/3 e brake assembly that is complete
that I could possibly dis assemble and attempt to copy the rod.
Maybe even produce a fixture to accommodate mass production in case forum members need replacements Which I would sell for the cost of materials and shipment as a service to other tr2/3 owners.
Just a thought!

Dick - I can give you one of my spares. Send me an e-mail off-line including your home address and I'll mail it to you.
