TR2/3/3A TR-3 GAGE PANEL REMOVAL?

I'm about to refinish my central gage panel and clean up the gages as a winter project. It looks, from what I can see on my back in the front seat, that there are just 2 wing nuts at the bottom holding the panel in. How is it held at the top? Is it really as simple as removing the two wing nuts and lifting the panel outwards?

The water gage had previously been replaced with an electrical, so no problem with fixed lines, other than the choke.

It was sure a lot easier working on these cars in the '60s when I was young, eager and flexable! The thrill of driving them doesn't change.

2 nuts at the top too... but I think you'll find that the 'holes' for these are slotted. Just loosening the top nuts should be enough (and remove the lower), then the bottom edge of the panel can be brought forward and the panel slipped down to free it.

And don't forget the oil line, and tiny leather seal at the back of the gauge too.
