Hi Folks;

I just wanted to drop a line of /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thankyousign.gif to all the nice folks on this Triumph Forum:

Its been a blast: If I get the TR3 I want, I`ll surely be back:

I am in process of getting a `64 Series I OTS: Nice Driver Condition: You might say its one heck of a "Barn Find"!! She`s a matching #s car with a 9:1 compression head: I`ll be the "2nd. Owner" of this "BIG CAT"!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Please don`t ask "How Much"! All I can say is; "I VIRTUALLY STOLE IT"!!

See Ya All Later;

Regards, Russ

PS: I`ll post some pics in the near future:

PPS: Driving over the Jaguar Forum: /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

Have fun Russ... If I remember right, you're a previous Jag owner anyway right??
Series I is a nice ride. I'll keep an eye open for a good TR3 for ya. heheheheh.

Russ,

We'll certainly miss you and look forward to you're coming back with a nice TR3. I want to wish you luck with the new Jag and I hope that all goes well for you.

BTW, you get a pass for going to a Jag. Not a bad thing at all.

Hi There Banjo;

Yep; Your right: Always have been an E-Type "Junkie":

I`ve had a `62, `67 & `69; All Rdstrs + `57 XK140 Rdstr:

Thanx for the nice comment;

Regards, Russ

Russ - you had a '57 XK140 roadster?

envy envy envy

Congrats on getting that E - a truly beautiful car. And thanks for all the advice too!

Drive safe.
Tom

Hi Tom;

Yep; "HAD" a `57XK140 Rdstr: You know, In my opinion; After driving the "140" then jumping into an "E-Type"; Its like going from a "Mack Truck" & climbing into a "Ferrari": If there are any Jag Lovers here; Please don`t mis-understand me: The 140 is "Nostalgic" but the E-Types are just "Awesome": "SPACE, GRACE & PACE" as they say!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Tom; Whats the story on the rims? I`m going to post mine here & in other areas but If you want a virtually brand new set of "True" Orig. matching # wheels; Let me know soon:

Regards, Russ

PS: I really would like to know how to change my current Avatar to an E-Type?? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

Russ - I'll buy those four wheels from you if they'll come with a "money back guarantee" that they're not wobbly (bent in the center). Price including shipping to 06242?

After my experiences buying "perfectly true wheels" that are definitely not perfectly true ... I can't take any more chances.

I still envy you that 140, altho' I sure understand the "nostalgia" versus "space, grace and pace" issues!

To change your avatar, if you've got a picture that's around 10K in size and around 80x80 pixels, just go to My Stuff (top of page), then My Profile, then scroll down toward "Upload your avatar". Browse to the pic you chose. Basil usually has to "screen" the avatar, so it won't appear for a day or two.

Hang in there!
Tom
PS - here's a pic of the first (and only ...) Jaguar I ever owned. Sigh.

Yup... here's a pic of the one I owned for about a year.. I quickly realised I'm not $ecurly $ituated to $tart re$toring a Jag.
If I'd had a bern to keep it in for a while..

Russ. I hope to see that Jag at the Watkins Glen Vintage!!!

Have fun with that Jag, Russ. I'll miss your "Quotation Marks" and "CAPITAL LETTERS".

Tom, that Jag photo makes me think of Kim Novak in Vertigo.

Hi Tom;

Thanx for info on posting a new Avatar: I totally forgot how to do it & what some of the requirements were:

Relative to the Rims & Tires: I`ve decided that I`m going to put them on ebay & see what happens:

Here`s "Perhaps" your opportunity to get a real sweet buy?

Tom, Its just "Impossible" to guarantee the "Trueness" on the Center section of the wheels: The only way I can see of doing this, is to put ea. wheel on a Flat Machined Surface & run a dial indicator around the area: I really am not certain what your looking for but It sounds like something that is "Extremely" difficult to pinpoint:

What happened with the wheel(s) that you bought? I can only guess that your "Not a Happy Camper"?

I`ll let you know when it`s on ebay;

Best Wishes;

Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thankyousign.gif Twosheds;

Hi There vettedog;

I drove a couple of XK8s and they surely are nice but their not an "E-Type"! "TOO NEW FOR MY BLOOD"!

To ea. his own I guess;

Regards, Russ

Hi Tom;

I just wanted to let you know that I`ve listed my 5 disc wheels and tires in the Classifieds here & at other Local Clubs before ebay!

Should I decide to put them on ebay; They will carry a Reserve of $500.00 for everything; (5) rims and tires: It`ll be like getting the tires for "FREE"!!

Have Fun & there are pictures posted;

Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Attention all - Russ said he is seeing his old Triumph Avatar and not his White EType. I see an Etype. Can others please reply and tell me (and Russ) what sort of Avatar you see for Russ (toysrus)?? Do you see a Triumph or jaguar?

Basil

Howdy Peoples;

After clearing everything out; It now shows the E-Type:

Thanx Basil;

Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif
