GT6 Toyota caliper swap for GT6 like TR6?

Hi guys - work with me on this one. So as I'm starting to slooooowly sort of the MGC I asked if there were any reversible upgrades like using the larger bore rear brake cylinder from a Morgan that some of us do on our TR6s. That led to someone saying that the MGC and TR6 used the same calipers, which led to my asking if anyone has done a Toyota caliper swap on an MGC.

Not it turns out the MGC and GT6, not TR6, use the same from calipers. So, if you are still with me, I have two questions;

1) Are GT6 and TR6 calipers the same or interchangeable?

2) Does anyone know if there is another Toyota (or similar) caliper that is a direct bolt on for the GT6?

Yes, both the GT6 and the TR6 use various iterations of the Girling Type 16 caliper, depending on the year, and I don't know why they wouldn't be completely interchangeable or substitutable (?) with the Toyota calipers.
