Ok, these really are real towns that really are just down the road from each other. I make no commentary, just presenting the facts.

And here in New Mexico we have a city that was literally named after a game show...(originally called Hot Springs, they changed their name as the result of a contact in which Ralph Edwards said he'd air the game show in a city that was willing to change their name after the game show title.

Gnaw Bone, French Lick, Floyds Knob and Santa Claus, Indiana

Oklahoma has a lot of towns with probably Indian names that might seem strange to others. But the are also Slapout, Non, Slaughterville and IXL, Gay and Straight.

There's a Horneytown,North Carolina.
Can you imagine a secretary answering the phone
at the police department on her first week, and trying
to keep a straight face?
For some reason the haveRFIS and GPS tracking on their signs.

There's also a town in Virginia, called Horse Pasture. It's not very big,
& has the "Danny Ward Horseshoeing School".

While traveling to Ohio we came across Buck Snort, Kentucky, I think. Not so strange, but unusual is Morrow, Ohio. There's a song about a guy trying to buy a ticket to go to Morrow. Not a town, but a butte not far from Wickenburg, Arizona called "Maggie's Nip[le." The jr. high boys loved talking about that location.

I was in the car with an out of state colleague of mine when passing this town. He made me stop the car so he could get a pic by the โ€œVirginville signโ€
