TR2/3/3A Tow Dolly

The car we have in Vermont only has a 3500-lb. towing capacity so according to U-Haul, the only trailer they can rent to me is a tow dolly in which the rear wheels will be turning throughout the 75-mile trip. Does anyone see this as a problem for towing a TR3A to a car show?

I've decided that bringing two cars is a bad idea because I can't be in two places at once and the cars can't be side-by-side, so this whole question is moot.
 
Moot as it mat be others may ask so here what I did with my 1967 MG B put it on the dolly backwards and tided the steering wheel it went well over 600 miles. MF
 
Don't pull too far with rear wheels on the ground unless you unfasten the drive shaft. I learned the hard way, that it will harm the transmission. I do what Madflyer suggested and tow my TR 3 backwards with the steering wheel tied.
 
Towing a TR3 to a car show?? freakin heresy. The best vacations I have ever taken, were cross country in the Tr. If
you load the car with spares, you will NOT need them at all. Cars can sense when they are loved.....

MD, this is an example of my Law of the Innate Perversity of Everyday Life: if you bring spares, you won't need them, but if you don't, you'll break down, for sure. That's why I got a spare tire for my TR--it protects my expensive wheels and tires.
