Curses! Foiled again!

With an epee?!?! Those guys were wimps.

No doubt the ferocity of the instructor's approach was the intimidating factor, not the weapon.

My fencing instructor was a 5'4" blonde dolly... and about as fierce an opponent as imaginable when she went offensive. Scared th' carp outta me.

Didn't know 'Smits was into fencing... :smirk:

I've always wanted to learn but bouts seem too short.

She's not. The instructor was pre-'smits.

Last Sunday's practice with what Herself chooses as weaponry, and her target. Four magazines, rapid fire (about one second between rounds), at 7-yards.

Be VERY afraid! :jester:

She has my respect, believe me!

Her instructor came to me after her initial qualification training and said: "She's deadly! gimme your address so's I don't mistakenly come around your house after dark!"

Yeah, I don't think I'd want her mad at me either.

Might wanna stop watchin' all them bikini movies and switch to something like Little House on'na Prairie.

That "bikini movie" is mainly a "chick flick" with an empowerment theme. I didn't watch it primarily for the bikini kids, rather for the spectacular surfing footage. I also like "Endless Summer"... for the same reason.

And he subscribes to Playboy for the articles...

Thanks, Steve. I'd seen it when it came out but it doesn't get "air play" that I've found. Now that you pointed me to it here I spent the time to go thru all five of the posted "episodes" there. Great stuff.

Greg Noll was a hero to me and a lot of my pals. And we'd drag behind a ski boat on a board when the waves weren't there. Not exactly the 1966 version of "tow-in" but fun during a calm water day.
