Hi Randy,
Yes, the Club started planning this a year ago. We were invited to attend the show last year by the Auto Show Execs to have a look at last years display done by the Classic Camaro and Firebird Club. It gave us an idea of what to expect and have a look at the layout. Before we agreed to go ahead with the show, we polled our membership to get some feedback to make sure that this is something that they would support. It is a pretty large space to fill (over 70 000 square feet) and we wanted to have a good commitment of members who would be willing to display their cars. Some were not interested as you can imagine the logistics of getting a car to Downtown Toronto in the middle of winter could be challenging. Those of us who were selected to be in the show had to change up out winter storage routines a little bit to fit the show in. We had a few gaps in our display as we didn't have any local Club members that own Italia's or Glorias or GTR Doves so we needed to bring these in from south of the border. We have made some new American friends who brought up a total of 8 cars from as far as North Carolina (where the 4 Standard 10's came from) and we are fortunate that they were able to join us.
I am working back at the show over the next couple of days. It ends on Sunday night at 6 PM but we will be moving cars out and back to their homes until Tuesday at Midnight. I am going to try and take a few more pics and some video before then.
Cheers,
David
