I looked through most of the threads on replacement tops (I think). What's your guys' take on tops? Soft vs Hard? Vinyl vs Sun Fast?

I have a soft (vinyl) top and a hard top (that has never been on my car since I've owned it. If I had to replace my convertible top, I'd go with a cloth top, zipout/down back window. But that's just me.

Ours is the "take-apart" thingie, with a factory HT for the "winter" months. I've always bought Robbins' tops for the cars I have (S-3 Elan, MGB and <flinch> an Alfa Spider). They fit up well and look good. Tan one onna Alfa, black fer th' rest of th' "fleet." I'm in Florida so it's almost a routine to replace 'em once every couple years. Never had to "MacGyver" a Robbins top, can't say that about the brand-X ones.
