Our MGB is a 1980. We are getting ready to purchase a top for it and I need to know what's the difference between the tops that have the zipper window and the regular top. There doesn't seem to be a difference in price, so which one should I put on an 80 B..and does it really make a difference? This car is a nice driver but a far dry from a show car.
We will probably be selling it in a month or so after we drive it to be sure all the bugs are worked out and that it runs good. Will one top or another make a difference?

Zip out top allows one to get fresh air feel without the sunburn.........'80 should have zip out top.

If its not raining, who rides with the top up? I mean really now isn't that why I have a convertible?

You will bake your head if the top is down in the south in July and August. The zip window lets the air flow in the car and keep you cooler. I would not run without one for a driver. The last top i installed was from EZ-on. The fit was fantastic and the price was good. Bob
