Moss Motors leaves the following notation after describing the process of replacing the anti-rattle plunger in the gear shift lever:

" Be sure to clean and repack grease in selectors."

I have no recollection of grease being used there. In fact, aren't the selectors lubricated from the inside via that splashing gear oil?

I assume they are talking about the ends of the selectors where the gear shift lever rides.

Was I supposed to grease that? I didn't recall that from the manual. Maybe I missed it.

Moss probably also ships these springs for use in the plungers that lock the selectors in position.

You have adjusting screws on these to set the spring pressure.
Grease on these is probably goog because they wont get much oil lube.

Obsessions: I just took it all apart and dropped in grease in there. Set record time. About 45 minutes.
