Finally installed after sitting in the box in my basement for...........twenty years
Pretty pleased with result.

I still want to devise a method to wrap that middle flap up under the hood sticks

I did have to install all the fasteners. I think one thing that delayed me so long was paying for the silly tool to make the cut-outs for the lift the dot. After all these years I broke down and got. Makes the job soooo easy.

Not hard. Just took my time and fitted it each time I added a fastener. I marked each spot with a white wax/tire pencil. I was worried about centering it so the two door caps would be even. Finally, I decided the best way to find the middle was to lay it flat, line all the edges up and then fold it in half - with the middle being the fold line. Worked a charm. I installed the middle/ center lift the dot first. Then worked my way outwards, marking two at a time - one on the right side, one on the left side.

Doing this in 90*F temps also helped a lot. The vinyl was very pliable and easy to work with
