top bow mk 1 and mk2 sprite

The top bow for the Mk1 Sprite is one piece, and the top bow for the Mk2 is 2 pieces. Does anybody know if there are any other differences? In other words, if I fit a top on my Bugeye to the Mk2 bow, will it be correct for the Mk1?

Thanks
Larry

The p/ns are different between the Mk1 Sprite and the Mk2.
Mk1: AHA5324
Mk2: AHA5768/9

But to answer your question, I don't know. The reason the Mk2 bows were split was to be able to store them in the boot. The Mk1 had the set of clips behind the seats to store the bows when not in use, and did not have a need to pull them into two pieces. I would install both and see if all the critical points are the same.

I believe the only difference is the split but never did an actual swap of the 2. Did have a BE with the split bows and an BE AMCO top on it however and it worked fine.

I just bought a soft top for our Bugeye from AH Spares. When I started to derust the top bow we had I realized it was a two piecer. I didn't want to fit the top to it, only to find out later that it wouldn't line up with the correct bow, if we found one. Sounds like we'll be ok. Thanks, everybody.
