Hi folks,

I've installed my new soft top and it looks pretty good. The one area that all of the instructions seem to leave out is what to do at the front bottom of the door opening right above and behind the shut pillar, behind the rain flap. How is the top material attached at that location? Is it somehow clipped to the drain channel directly? I can't figure this one out and it isn't on my Moss top install video, or on any search I can find.

Anyone have a picture of how it is done?

Cheers,
Chris

Did the install video come with the purchase of the soft top or can it be obtained without purchasing one?

(sorry I cant help with your question but am just about to install a soft top )

I am not an expert but mine seems to just hand on the outside of the car to deflect the rain to the outside.

Yeah, I checked my old top and it looks like the additional fabric behind the drip flap just hangs down into the drain channel...effectively blocking the drain hole probably, LOL.

That flap (flap of the roof fabric - not the thicker outer flap shown in the third photo) should hang down into the gutter, while the flap on the front edge is tacked around the edge of the wood tack rail/window surround. The thicker outer flap does just sit outside to deflect the majority of the water that runs across the window glass. If you get the tensions right the bottom flap of the roof material will sit quite neatly in the gutter (first two photos). I did modify my wood rails for a closer fit to the window, and as I've also gone for a none standard interior/carpet treatment, so the arrangement of the door seal and window seal isn't standard either, however there are really no gaps in that areas of the soft top now, and its water tight, and sits neatly.
