Howdy guys, it's been a few years since I changed a soft top. I was just curious what adhesives y'all are using these days?
 
IIRC I just used off the shelf contact cement.
 
That's what I've always used, myself, just a basic waterproof adhesive.
 
I wish I knew the best answer for that. I am trying to glue new rubber to Daisy's running boards. I got a quart of Lokweld contact cement for vinyl tops from my local trim supply. It sticks to the steel great, the rubber not so much. Probably all right on the flat surfaces but I am concerned about the curves and the edges. Think I'll look for something strongfer at least for the edges.
 

It is supposed to be sprayed, but I find a paintbrush just as effective. I use throwaway chip brushes from Harbor Freight.
