If I weer an enterprising single guy.......I'm just sayin.....there is a market for just about any type of technical help and if you are smart and you address their concerns and don't talk down to them, you could probably start a nice side business.

Thats the way I roll  and it's worked for me, I don't ever think of the customer as stupid, just not experienced yet, and we all have to learn at one point. This basic theory is what got me to start my engine rebuild kits, I get the customer good parts thru my engine rebuilding expereicnes that I know that work fine and help them avoid the parts that don't do well, I'm there for them thru the machine shop process, even interface with the machinst at times, you will not believe how many generic machinst/engine builder's that I saved thier butts , telling them about a few LBC motor booby traps to avoid. Then I am there thru the assembly and tuning process for the engine rebuild kit customer, I've been doing this 2 years now and it's becoming a much bigger part of my business. This is something average hobbist does very little, or in some case has never done, to have seasoned pro helping you thru the process, for bascily free, as I sell them parts for the same thing they can buy for, has been a good approach, and people seem to like it.
