Thanks for all your comments. I just completed a 16 day raft trip thru the Grand Canyon, and it makes one realize what is important in life. Lots of time to think between huge rapids. I think I have gotten all the goodness out of the Miata that I can get. It is time to move on and with the BE I can do that with a new chapter in sports car fun. Very different, but will still be fun, with different events and experiences. If I really wanted a more "perfect" sports car, I would have kept the Porsche, Alfa, big Healey, etc; if there is such a thing. All are different and fun in their own way. Anyone want, "need", desire a Miata?

Sorry, can't agree with your decision. I have a Sunburst Miata, bought new as a retirement present from me to me. Even though I have "better", more collectable cars in the fleet I don't think I would ever sell the Miata. It does everything right and is basically unbreakable. To me a Bugeye would be a cool car to drive for a couple years 'till the next "interesting" car grabbed my attention. Bob

Have you ever driven a big Healey?
that was one of my biggest mistakes in auto restoration, A sports car it is NOT, a tractor, yes.
Now Ferrari, Aston Martin, now you're talking. :wink:
 
I regret every collector car (mostly LBCs) I ever sold. Had I kept them, I would now have 15 (not including the 1950 18' Chris Craft Mahogany Speedboat - that sucker took up a lot of room). I've only got 5. I'm not including the drivers (3 now) since I tend to drive them until the wheels are ready to fall off.

My advise is - procrastinate. That will solve the problem in the fullness of time.
