I am truly amazed that anyone could get that much done so fast. I inevitably run into a problem with something that won't come off or go back on, or a tool that breaks or malfunctions, or run out of something I need....and the two hour job morphs into the xxx hour job.

Doug, Should not be a problem. I will have to use the wide roller to get the paint on that quick. I have done enough MGs that I do not have to tag and bag parts and bolts. That saves alot of time. Plus when I am in the shop in work mode I make it happen! One more pot of coffee and i'll be ready to go again. Bob

I have done several old Minis. I had a van that I enjoyed alot. That was many years ago. My sister had a very early (1959-1961?)wagon without the shifter remote. We almost got it on the road but she sold it unfinished. Today was a great day. Never set foot into the garage. Lots of rain and bitter cold! It almost got down to freezing! Bob

What a worker bee...I was so inspired that I popped the bonnet and checked to see if the fan belt was loose, as the ignition light was glowing the last time I drove her. I then sugested to my wife that I could tighten that up and we could run down to the gas station and fill her up for the winter and get gas for the snowblower. I don't know why my wife laughed and shook her head as she walked into the house, but maybe it had something to do with the winter door being closed and the raging Nor'easterner snowstorm raging outside. I decided that the MGB was not going to handle the 5 inches of snow on our hill too well, closed the hood and promised Dolly that I'd get her hood up soon :wink:

2 more work days complete. Yesterday I did the bodywork on the driver side. Today I did the right side front fender and dog leg section. Then started the body work but had to knock off at 2pm. I will be back at it again tomorrow. Pics attached! Bob

I got a replacement front fender patch with a parts car and made the dog leg panel out of sheet steel. The panels on the other side are from a rocker panel skin that was also in the parts car. The curve is the same and the car did not require a high patch panel. More filler work today then I will probably take a bit of a break for the holidays. Lynda and I do a annual Polar Bear Ride on Jan 1 for the local MG and Triumph clubs. We still have route instructions to fine tune and maybe get more ice cream and hot chocolate in before the big day. Y'all have a good Christmas! Bob

Christmas is over for another year and I hope Santa delivered a few quarts of VR1 oil under your tree. Last Wed or Thursday morning i finished the bodywork on the right side. Today i did body work on the hood and trunk and rear valance. Since i have a dentist appt. tomorrow morning I wanted to get the first 2 coats of primer on the parts that were ready. It should be good and dry by the time i get back to it on wednesday. Under the hood surface and some work in the door jambs has to happen before I block the outer body and reprime it. Bob
