Too early for this stuff

I was driving to work this morning in my 8, just driving along around 65mph in the left hand lane and I passed a Merc SLK (I beleive, not a Merc expert). About a mile down the road the Merc is on my bumper flashing his lights and blowing his horn. Next opportunity I get I pull into the right lane to let him pass and he doesn't want to pass, he wants to race.

20ish guy in a $50,000+ newer car wanting to race a 30 year old $5000 car. I just ignored him but for the next 5 miles he blocked traffic in the passing lane riding beside me. Finally he must have bored and took off.

All this at 0600. Too early for that stuff

Kids, will they ever learn.

yea what a wuss that guy is, only wants to race the guy he knows he can beat, you will never seem him pull up next to an AC cobra doing that crap and get his doors blown off. another reason I carry a 9mm when I drive, plus a concealed carry permit!! got to be legal

Hrmmm, more evidence we are not doing enough to keep the gene pool clean.
On the plus side these sort of folks do a good job of clearing the road of police cars ahead of us.

Hondo,

i perfer the .45 for that.

Not wanting to antagonize any further, I find simply ignoring works wonders.

They don't deserve a response.

Give it a go :driving: ... he has everything to lose in daddy's car

OT, but it looks to me like that 8 popped a coolant hose right about the corkscrew and was fixin to blow up by the end of that video.

But I find a middle finger works well in a case like this.
Laughing at them works well, too.

Had a 350Z want to drag race my TR3 the other day ... how absurd!

I agree.
- If I know I can't beat the boy racer; then why bother wasting gas, just ignore.
- If I know that he has no chance against me (either car or obvious driving style); then why bother, just ignore. Besides, he might get upset and have a 9mm.
