NMSP: Suspect dead following sheriff's office shooting in Edgewood

According to New Mexico State Police, a suspect is dead following a shooting involving Torrance County Sheriff's deputies Monday.

When i was a Deputy in town, I was mowing and heard shots by the school, grabbed my duty revolver and ran toward school, found that the owner of a local trucking company was shooting at his son in law. I pulled the badge, told him to freeze and drop the weapon, he said he did not know me as the Chief showed up. Chief said, no you don't and if you don't drop the weapon he will kill you. I never saw anyone drop a gun so fast.
