Tony's Midget?

Russ, There is the nice early Midget Tony was working on and a 64 with a H/T and a RWA and a rubber bumper Midget. The MGA roadster is a 1500 that is very good as far as rust. Some pin holes in the original rocker panels only. It does need a full restoration! Most of the cars in the collection are very good projects! It may not be too late to purchase a car pre auction. Contact Mickey and get'er done. Bob

Howdy Bob,

I went to Tonys site & all I`m coming up with a "Childrens Books or Art". Where else should I be looking to view some of the cars and find out how to contact "Mickey"?

Well we bought it to get the the Headley hybrid racing rear end and Headley rear suspension pieces of off it to put on another vintage MGB race car. I will immediately put another tube axle housing back under the car, so it remains a roller, this will all be happening between now and labor day.

After that, we will see what we do with the car, my first thought was to make it into a LeMons, or Chump enduro race car, which would be fun, but after much thought, it's too nice for that. Like alot of race car projects, you can just throw about $20K at it and make a good race car from it, but I have other cars I'm going to do that with. So I thinking more along the line of a budget autocross car that also could be used for hillclimbs as well. Right now, it's back burner project, as we start rebuilding one of the Spridget race car and plan on doing some serious butt whooping in the Southeast and maybe elsewhere as well, hey somebody has to go out there and teach those Hondas and VWs a lesson :smile:

The car has alot of things to do to it, if you were ever to make a vintage race car out of it, Tony was my bud, but as we all who knew him, he was about as a hard headed "you know what" as you'd ever want to meet (and I say that lovily). He has fiberglass non flared front fenders on the car and a fiberglass rear hatch, neither are vintage racing kosher. So I think as we build these other race cars, we'll just stew over the future of this car, and see what direction we take. I know I have no obligation to put this car into competition, but I would love to do so in the future in Tony's honor, if for no other reason. We name all our race cars, over the years we've had several, the Frog, Bamm Bamm, Speedracer, Norman, Buxy, Buckwheat, Harvey, and for the record this car will always be known as "The Autoist".
