I think we are due a status report on the red midget.

That thing should be long on the road by now.
 
Carbs are on...just repaired that weird piece for the exhaust (the one on the trans) but there's something wrong - it doesn't fit...so, gotta align the entire exhaust from front to rear to see what's happening...

Putting radiator in tomorrow (gotta remove grille this afternoon).

Hopefully, Rickey can get by this weekend to help me reset the hood on it.
 
May I suggest you not fit the hood till it is running and set. Much easier.
 
FYI...

I replaced my 1098 exhaust with a 1275 system. My Moss 1275 pipe didn't fit the 1275 manifold. It hung to low and was dragging. The drop from the coupling was too long and I had an exhaust shop shorten it. All is well now.

Just saying that sometimes it'll take blunt force and a torch. :laugh:
