T-Series Tony B, I'm doing a TD with MGB-GT drivetrain

I have a MGTD that I bought as a basket case and a lot of parts are missing. I bought a 72 MGB rust bucket as a doner car. The engine is now mounted in the TD frame, but when I put the exhaust manifold on I noticed that the stearing shaft needs to go through it.(The carbs and exhaust are on the left side. I think that I will need to build my own headers. You have a friend that has the TD - MGB conversion. Do you think he could send me some pictures of the engine exhaust, mounts, etc.?
I have pictures of B disk breaks on the TD and the MGB rearend in the TD frame showing modifications, If anyone is interested. beachbumbarry@msn.com /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I'll run up on the mountain & see if I can get him to come up on the BBS or at least get his email for you

Thanking you in advance for your help and thank you for your quick response. You must be in very good shape to run up a mountain.

hehehehehe......my B will do the running - I'll do the driving - my friend lives on top of Monte Sano near the state park in a log house.

Barry - visited with my friend today...am sending you his contact info via PM...here's what he told me aobut his TD:

he has the MGB front suspension & MGB rear end in it & runs Austin Healy 15" wires...right now he has a Ford 4-cylinder engine/trans in it but his MGB engine/trans is ready to go in...he said he's using an aftermarket header & Weber & his measurements tell him it'll clear the steering...however, he said if it gets close he'll use an additional knuckle in the steering
...the phone number is his home.

Thank you very much Tony. I appreciate all the running around that you had to do. I think that I will need to make the frame stronger for the additional HP. It's a learn as I go project.
