Im looking for a tonneau bar for a MK III Sprite/ MK II Midget. Anyone out there with a spare?

I recently acquired a tonneau. I'ts grungy, but SOLID. Any suggestions about getting it clean? That is what brands of vinyl cleaner do the best job with the least damage?

Pop it in the washing machine, no too hot.
 
Harley Davidson sells some really good leather care products that will work great on vinyl. They sell it to condition the seats on their bikes. I used it on mine and the black looks nice and solid again and it helps condition the material to repel sun bleach. Not to expensive as I got a squeeze bottle for $7.00. It looks just like lotion. I placed my cover on the floor and just worked it in with a rag and then wiped it off.
 
I rarely recommend products, but I just have to recommend the Stoner brand products.

I just purchased a tonneau last week, and it had marks and spots all over it, moldy white stuff and other marks I could not identify.

I sprayed Trim Shine on it, and everything disappeared. No scrubbing, no greasy film, nothing, it honestly looks brand new, and it took all of 30 seconds to spray it on. It is not a paint, or cover-up, it just makes everything disappear.

I use all the Stoner products, with the glass cleaner and trim shine being my 2 favorites. I use the trim shine in my BMW engine bay, and that as well looks brand new. The glass cleaner is the best I ever used, never streak marks, and you only clean the window once because it does such a great job.

I seriously recommend everyone on this board get the box kit they sell, with all their products, you will come back and agree with me, I promise.
 
I saw the one on Ebay. From what I can learn from both Mos#$ and VB they are NOT the same until 1967. the MK III Sprite/Mk II Midget takes a different one than the earlier cars. I was in correspondence with the seller.

Bill, if you get nowhere, shortly I will be trying to make one. Recently I picked up about 4 arched pieces of extruded aluminum that were originally for the bed of a truck - for the tarp to go over. If my plan works (and I should be at it in the next few weeks) I should have some available. I'll certainly be posting pics. I hope to get 2 per piece.
 
Swell. .. I'll keep ya in mind.. ..

The problem I've had is in finding the proper OD tubing. Not that I've looked that hard, but I know 1/2" EMT is too big to fit.
 
I got mine all rusty, sanded them, navel jelly and primer, filler then paint.

Guys MGB Tonneau bar will fit as well if something like 2 1/2" is cut off in the middle. Thats what I reengineered to make fit for my windblocker in Bugsy my '68.
