So, does anyone know what car bearing # 5-924 (VB) fits cause it sure in @#%%%&* doesn't fit a Midget.

While were on the topic, I cleaned out the seal (Rubber not paper) and not only was there a little O-ring in it but it almost seemed glued in - I had to carve it out. anyone had this experience?

JP, 5-924 is the kit number for MGB/MGC rear wheel hubs.
The Spridget P/N is 5-922, bearing, seal, gasket and "O" ring.
I've had to dig out many old "O" rings over the years. A dental pick works well.
Make sure you install the paper gasket when you reassemble.

thanks - does this mean I should not have taken out the rubber seal the o-ring sat in?

J-P, are we talking about the rear seal / hub here?

If so, there's a flat paper gasket, and under it a rubber O-ring that gets crusty and needs to be cleaned out & replaced.

Behind the bearing, there is *also* a rubber axle seal, that is held in place by an internal metal circular spring. If that's what you mean, yes it needs to come out, and be replaced.

I did this last week, and have pix that might help if you run into problems.
